The Home Tab
The Home Tab's three main areas give you the Health-at-a-Glance of all your projects, a status Pane showing you what needs attention and where your time is going, and a customizable What's Next? pane.
The My MasterList Tab
The My MasterList Tab shows you all of your tasks. Meanwhile, the Metrics Side Pane currently visible, shows you a wide range of information about your tasks. Don't like this view of your Tasks? Create as many views as you want, each customized as to color, font, size, sorting and columns.
The Current List Tab
The Current List Tab is your focus on what you want to get done now, whether your 'now' is this afternoon or the next few days. Here we see a view, customized to show Current tasks sorted by Productivity Points.
The Projects Tab
The Projects Tab shows you the tasks in a project one at a time. You can see your Projects list color-coded by status, or alphabetically. And you can create as many views as you need to control your projects.
The Projects Overview Tab
The Projects Overview Tab expands the information available on the Home Tab, showing you at a glance the health of each of your projects and then in detail a wealth of information about each Project. Like each of the main tabs in MasterList Professional, you can create and customize as many views as you need to oversee and control your projects.
The Scheduling Tab
MasterList Professional can schedule, or reschedule, your day for you. Just pick a Project, or your Current List, a sort order and a time period (during a day or across multiple days) and MasterList Professional can calculate Task Appointments for you, based on your preferences. Of course, you can also turn off Auto Schedule and schedule for yourself.
The Checklists Tab
Checklists make what you do for a living easier. You can create checklists within MasterList Professional, import from word processing files, grab text off of web sites or find and import checklists from our site.
The New Task Screen
The New Task Screen is optimized to make it easy and fast to enter new tasks. MasterList Professional automatically provides spellchecking for the Task Description and Notes.
The Existing Task Screen
Once you've created a task, the Existing Task Screen shows you the checklist (if any assigned) to the task, its schedule and lets you update the task as you need.
The Task Appointment Screen
For complex, long tasks Task Appointments help you make the time to do the job right. The Task Appointment screen shows you the Checklist you\'ve assigned to the task (if any), your notes and can track your time.
The Utility Functions Screen
At one time or another, its useful to be able to move tasks from one project to another in bulk, rename a keyword, delete a checklist and more. The Utility Functions screen lets you do these functions and more.
The Settings Screen
The Settings Screen lets you decide how Productivity Points should be calculated, how automatic spelling correction should work and how integrated MasterList Professional should be with Microsoft Outlook.
The Outlook Task Import Screen
The Outlook Task Import Screen lets you create MasterList Professional Tasks based on your current uncompleted tasks in Microsoft Outlook. You can also import Tasks and Projects from MasterList-XL and Checklists from any word processing file. And, you can also set your various levels of ongoing integration with Outlook Tasks and Appointments.
The Task Catalog Side Pane
There are some tasks you do time and time again. The Task Catalog is your own personal one stop shop for tasks you need to do again with a twist: each time you make a new task from one in the Task Catalog, the time needed list shows your last five actual time spent periods.
The Metrics Side Pane
Where your time goes in large part sets how your life goes. The Metrics Side Pane is customized to the Home, MasterList, Current, Projects, Projects Overview and Scheduling Tabs. In each of these Tabs, the Metrics Side Pane shows you up to seven different measurements of what you are getting for your time.
The Keywords Side Pane
Keywords let you group tasks across projects. For example, you can group all of your calls with one keyword. You can have as many keywords as you want; each task can have as many keywords as it needs.
The Help Side Pane
Each Tab in MasterList Professional has its own Help Pane. In addition, each and every screen and dialog has a Help button that opens to a specific help topic. And, there's more Help available from the Main Menu, online and at our support forums, www.safarihelp.com.
